Digital Art for Kids and Youths

The perfect introductory course for digital art enthuthists.  Learn the basics of Procreate and create imaginative pieces of work every week using digital tools and interfaces.

Key Benefits:

  • Strengthens 3D & Spatial Thinking: Digital art develops spatial awareness as students work with layers, depth, perspective, and movement
  • Positive, Purposeful Screen Time:  Kids use tablets to draw, design, and animate — turning screen time into something imaginative and productive.
  • Boosts Creativity, Confidence & Focus: Completing digital art projects helps kids concentrate, follow steps, and feel proud of what they create.

With new projects every term, students can come back again and again without things ever feeling repetitive

Recommended age:  7-14yr

Portfolio Digital Art & Animation Courses

Designed to help students build a professional digital art and animation portfolio.

Previous experience in our Pre-Portfolio programs are an asset but not required.

Students work on mini projects weekly to practice techniques, and complete one final culminative animation project at the end of the course that is to become their portfolio piece.

Key Benefits:

  • Real-World Creative & Tech Skills:  Students learn industry-relevant tools and workflows used in illustration, animation, game design, and digital media. Skills like layering, composition, visual storytelling, and digital problem-solving translate directly into future creative and tech careers.
  • Builds Focus, Confidence & Visual Thinking: Digital art strengthens concentration, patience, and attention to detail. Students see their ideas come to life quickly, which boosts confidence and motivation — especially for kids who may struggle to engage in traditional academic settings but thrive visually.
  • From Consumer to Creator: Instead of passively consuming screens, students learn how to create with them. Digital art teaches intentional screen use, creative ownership, and self-expression — turning technology into a tool for imagination rather than distraction.

Level progression:

  • Foundations
  • Level 1
  • Level 2
  • Level 3

Recommended for ages 8+, however exceptions can be made at the instructor's discretion.

Five black stars.

“Hands down my child’s favourite class! They were so excited to go every week, and now screen time at home is them being productive and creative instead (which we love)”
